Thanks Addy, I've never seen VG's for the A33 / A55 series.

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions. I do very much appreciate the time folks spent to steer me toward a solution.
I did find a Sony VG-B30AM Vertical Grip for Alpha A350/A300/A200 (supposedly with battery tray/slider) on Ebay for a reasonable price. I will see if it fits and let you know! ![]() |

Glad to hear you found one. Please do let us know. As another user of the A99 VG, I'm curious to hear about whether this works. |

Perfect! I knew it would work...
BTW, the genuine Sony 'tray' fits the Meike VG900 grip, but not otherwise. Due to this thread I looked at it, so thanks to you too AK_Jon! |

Which leads me to believe that the Meike tray could be modified to fit, maybe something as simple as cutting a slot in it. |

I have the same problem - My battery tray is broken and I am trying to find one with no luck. I tried to use one from a grip clone but it does not fit - I could modify it a little bit to slide in , however I am not quite sure that the contacts would be the same Any help available ?? |
