Hi everyone, does you know if anyone ever found a way around this 'non-Sony lens = no hybrid AF limitation'?
Was there any way to change the ID number on lenses so they look like Sony's to the camera or are there any hacked firmwares like Magic Lantern does for Canon?

Tamron has a few lenses that use the Lens ID of supported Sony lenses. The 60/2 Macro and 70-300USD are the two I know of. I think there are reports they don't actually work that well with the on-sensor AF points.

This is the first time I came across this compatibility page and find two thing interesting.

1. Lens nomemclature - I guess this is the horse's mouth - should it be regarded as definitive?

2. Flash compatibility - were the multi-shoe Sony flashes not around when the page was prepared? Or are they not compatible with ADI?
