We don't have a dog but cats can also be destructive in a similar way - we put ours in large pots on the patio.... Surviving so far (but nothing like these I've posted I'm sorry to say!).

Yep great thread, Neils Acers are wonderful in form and colour ( we tried to grow one but the dog peed it to death), love the foggy cows and the Homestead looks a wonderful place to live and hopefully recover.

I hope your father is recovering okay? Looking at the images I can't imagine a lovelier place to have to recuperate in to be honest. That is a rather beautiful outlook and if that is the 'Homestead' in the fist image it looks just perfect - very 'classical' in design!
