Similar to one I posted a couple of weeks ago but I think this one is an improvement, and a different locomotive is powering the train. On the last day of the public timetable, "Elidir", built by Hunslet in 1889, runs along Llyn Padarn.
![]() 1960s built class 37 diesels 37059 and 37610 pass Rhosneigr with a cargo of spent fuel rods from Wylfa nuclear power station, on their way to Sellafield for reprocessing. ![]() |

Yes AudioDoc, exactly. I was living in Reno in a particularly stormy season when the Feather River blew out the whole Canyon. Took out the road and the Western Pacific tracks for about 6 mos. Left little communities there in tough shape. But thats life in the mountains. I was driving the road the day before the bottom fell out, the cliff walls looked like Niagara, the river was up to the road and looked like the inside of a washing machine.
I'm sure you know the story of the City of SanFrancisco passenger train stuck in the middle of a blizzard on Donner Summit area, the Sierra's. Running out of all foods after 6 days 😫 the 1st time since 09, thats Big. You guys do have the best powder. I've been to Park City ![]() Take Care, I hope your leg is fully recovered.________Joseph |
