Thanks for the comments gentlemen. These photos were taken around 3 pm today. It's indeed unseasonably warm here (17 degrees celcius today) however the crocus in our front yard come out in february every year, maybe a few days earlier than normal but not extreme. I photograph them every year and most photo's are between the 20th and the 25th of the month. So this year ~5 days earlier.

This wasp has a scary name and looks like it too.
It is at least 5 cm long.
