Harald, thanks for adding to this visual feast. It's easy to see why it is your favourite island. Beautifully visualised and realised.

Thank you all for your appreciation!
Since I have repeatedly come to this island I have kind of a collection of images of it. Let me add some more from the past - taken with the Sony R1 (which had an APS-C sensor, probably the same as in the Sony A100, and a 24-120mm equiv. Zeiss lens, probably with a very similar design that the Zeiss 16-80mm A-mount lens had). #23 Beaufort 1 #24 From the garden #25 Svaneke harbor #26 Bornholm sky #27 Another smokehouse #28 View from Hammershus (ruins of a mediaval fortress, more on it in the IR thread) #29 Water tower (designed by Joern Utzorn, the Danish architect of the Sydney Opera House) #30 Water tower detail (stairway to heaven) Thank you for viewing! C&C always welcome! There is also an IR thread on my favorite island. Edited by waldo_posth - 22 December 2017 at 11:51 |

Fine island indeed. You had great variety of subjects and had enough time to capture light at different time of the day which is why we see fine variety here.
Your compositions, colors and processing are fine. What this set reveals to me is that you really enjoyed being there. It is not easy to pick favorite but #18 appeals to me very much. |

A lovely series Harald with a nice mixture of shots that convey the charm of the place (#6, #8, #11, #14 etc) and others that are more "bravura" (#4, #7,#9 & #22). And some of your wonderful night shots as well. Some of them I really should stare at a bit more: #5 is quite complex #6 seems to be "held together" by the bow bottom right but I'm not sure how! #8 is balanced by the gap in the wall on the right but there's no way I would have spotted that scene So - an instructive series as well! Wonderful set Harald! I remember #9 from the DPC, where it was one of my favourites.

Number ten for me is my favorite. Btw number 17 very early or very late with that same composition would be a cracker in the right light. Tfs

Yes, it's Bornholm - mostly Svaneke and Aarsdale. The ferry rides are from Sassnitz to Roenne and from Roenne to Ystad.
Thank you all for your kind comments! |

Wonderful series of images that covey the specialness of this place.
All are striking but my favourites (and there are many) are ##5, 6, 9, 10, 12, 18 and 20. Looking forward to seeing at least some of them showcased in POTW exhibitions. Thanks for sharing. |
