I guess that art work in 45-7 might be related to making of Ai Wei Wei's film "Human Flow".
And I think that cropping "White Hole" into square format would suit that picture well, despite that then it would violate the purist day prime challenge rules... |

Thanks Paul and Heikki
I tried cropping the white hole to square picture, that's no day prime purist problem, because as presented it was totally uncropped and you are allowed to crop in one direction. However the picture doesn't improve in my mind with a square crop, first I like the tension between the near square hole and the rectangle of the 3:2 image. Secondly the hole is slightly elongated horizontally, so cropping square makes the wall left/right less wide then top/bottom, which really looks weird. But it was a good suggestion, only didn't work out as expected in this particular case. |

Ok, I decided to finally make use of this year's more flexible rules for Day Primes, but I guess I have a supergood reason for not taking the pics earlier on the "correct" date since I didn't own the lens used until yesterday...
HK43.1 No winter maintenance α7R II + Nikon Zoom-NIKKOR Auto 1:3.5 f=43mm~f=86mm @ 43 mm, f/11?, 1/250 s, ISO 200 HK43.2 α7R II + Nikon Zoom-NIKKOR Auto 1:3.5 f=43mm~f=86mm @ 43 mm, f/11?, 1/200 s, ISO 125 HK43.3 α7R II + Nikon Zoom-NIKKOR Auto 1:3.5 f=43mm~f=86mm @ 43 mm, f/11?, 1/160 s, ISO 125 Yes, the second image proves that for some reason (= the skylight filter?) this Zoom-Nikkor seems to vignetting when focus distance near the minimum... |

There is a difference between a shaky or out-of-focus photograph and a snapshot of clouds and fog banks. - Schrödinger
