Now that is a very positive (and well intended) measure. Let's hope it works as it seems to be intended to.

Best regards, Neil.

That in-memoriam option makes the price of admission well worth it.

On their Facebook page, Flickr has just announced two important updates:

"Today, we’re pleased to announce two important updates that deepen Flickr’s commitment to our members and to the worldwide photography community:
→ All public, CC-licensed works on Flickr are now protected.
→ We’re offering “in memoriam” accounts to existing Flickr members who have passed away".

Yup - and, mysteriously, when you do a page reload almost as soon as you get that increasingly irritating shot, the page loads!! Not one of it's better functionality I'm afraid.

I was just wondering if it was just me, but it seems to be solved now indeed.
I accept it, but just worry now and then about our dependency on IT and electronic data

Even internet banking has its problems. The digital era has opened unlimited possibilities (unfortunately also for errors). Just accept it as there is nothing you can do about it, the grass is equally yellow at the other side.

I'm seeing EXIF in all mine now but yesterday it only showed the camera model.

I’ve had access both via the web and the app and there’s no problem with EXIF info.

Just now when I opened Flickr, I saw that I needed to Log On over again, which I did using my email address and password.
On doing so I was directed to a page with new privacy and user agreement protocols, terms and conditions which I accepted.
On doing so, my FlickrPro page opened and now all the EXIF data is back to normal.

The Flickr help forum is full of posts about the disappearance of EXIF data, and the IT people at Flickr are aware of it and working to restore it. Hopefully...

You're right - odd as I posted an image in the Best of Year on Tuesday I think and it was fine then!

Perhaps it's another 'feature' they are giving us....

Best regards, Neil.
