+1 on that - I rather surprised my wife the other day when talking about our 'next house ' (after retirement most likely) and she asked me what I'd like in a new home - I responded "a Music Room come study where I can work on images and listen to music the way it should be listened to". With the re-introduction of Vinyl to mainstream music buying I would be hard pressed not to revert to my youth and go back to a largely vinyl based system. I'll be dragging the Dynax 7si out next and buying film...

Best regards, Neil.
My Mantra: "Comment on other's work as you would wish to have yours commented upon". Go on - it's fun!

Tom Petty has a few good tunes for sure.

Currently https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvSgLHWR16o , "pop" or something but not mindless. Apparently they're from New York.

Towers are great! I rather love my RX 6 even if the cats have made a slight hole in one element it's too slight to be noticable by me. When one has animals one has to accept that things will not look too new for long..
Towers are perfect to buy used too, at least herearound. About the only thing they haven't got going for them is significant others and young people of today who are contemplating what "soundbar" to buy for 300USD.

..I hope I can live somewhere in the forest when I'm old and half deaf so that I can properly utilize the volume these things can handle. Not very easy in a flat in house where no one plays music ever.

Recently I got interested in audiophile quality equipment.
I setup a stereo system with a Harman/Kardon 2.1 receiver and a pair of Elac towers.
Really opened up my ears to what it means to hear hi-res audio.

I play hi-res audio from YouTube and also listen to different genres on Spotify/Pandora.

To answer the question, I'm listening to Tom Petty now.

Jeff Lorber Fusion, Impact. Here is one title of the album,
Companion.

Edit: Next I listened to this take from Brian Culbertson's Winter Stories - I really like the video - Morning Walk.

I saw Canadian duo The Small Glories on Sunday night, currently touring the UK, lovely people, fine music, a great night.
