I found that the A6000 got a firmware update yesterday. Sony just says "Improves stability of the AF operation"

The A6000 could use better AF operation. I will have to try this out later.

I'm especially interested to know if the AF improves with the LAEA1/3 adapter.

Thanks for the FYI , especially since I'm having difficulty w all my updates, as obviously this post points out.
I have the a6500 and its auto focus is far from perfect. It seems to have particular problems w continuous focus and panoramas. My 6000 wouldn't even do panos. But I got the 6500 mostly for the anti shake
thanks again_______Coast

Updating now. I will check if the LA-EA3 gains anything. Seems unlikely.

Report: still contrast detect AF with the LA-EA3. Sigma DN Art lenses still limited to the center phase-detect AF points.

a bit confusing, on the overview page it says release date 03/19/2018, but if you click on the link on the overview page to see the details, the release date is shown as 03/19/2019

Why don't you go to the German download page and you get the date in a normal format

Anybody tried the new firmware?

I have it installed. I haven't noticed a difference yet. "Improves stability of the AF operation" is vague about what has changed.

I have a few questions around this version please:

  • Will this allow me to 'customise' the use of the focus-lock button on my shiny new SEL70350G?
  • I have a few apps that use the unauthorised OpenMemories framework. Will this upgrade break those?
  • If I don't like this version can I downgrade back to version 2.0?

Many thanks.

I don't know the answer to the first two questions, but the answer to the third is that you cannot roll back to a previous version of the firmware if you don't like your update.
Mind the bandwidth of others, don't link pictures larger then 1024 wide or 960 pix high, see here
