I figured I'd start a thread just for firmware updates for the R4 (rather than starting a new thread every time).

looks to be a very mild update, I'm personally gonna pass on it until I read some feedbacks

Benefits and Improvements
Enables use of "My Menu" to save or load custom camera settings
Adds the "External Flash Set" function which allows you to configure the settings of an attached flash or wireless radio commander (both sold separately) directly from the camera.
Compatible Flash models:
HVL-F60RM(with flash firmware version 2.00 or later)
HVL-F45RM(with flash firmware version 2.00 or later)
Compatible wireless radio commander:
FA-WRC1M
Notes:
This functionality will be enabled after the upcoming wireless radio commander firmware version.
Refer to the Help Guidefor more information.
Improves the overall stability of the camera

I almost always wait 2 weeks before updating.
And almost always never update if a planned trip or outing is close.

So I won't be updating till the new year now

Similar firmware updates have appeared also for α7 III and α7R III.
