Verde Canyon Rail Road Ride (Sedona)

took this wonderful train trip on what is considered America's 2nd most scenic railroad excursion

now this is some what deep in the weeds, but their engines are the only F7 models (the blue one) actively working on a regular basis, west of New York

I took a walk in yesterday's nice weather. We are back in lockdown, but allowed to exercise. I went for a walk to capture some autumn colours in Sankey Valley park and captured this about two miles from my home. It's the 11:16 from Manchester Oxford Road to Liverpool Lime Street train. DMU 156 424 leading an unidentified classmate. 7th November 2020.

Certainly, but you need to know the spots where there's a good view, I found this one by accident.

It's the same in the UK. Since the days of steam the lineside vegitation has been allowed to grow largely unchecked making it harder to find good viewing spots here too.

What a beauty! Well processed, almost 3D effect. Would become even more majestic with some half of the upper sky cropped.

A picture taken ten years ago which I've never shared before. The train is framed by by an old sluice mechanism on the abandoned St Helens canal.
