The lock lever of my F60M has also broken.
In my case, the main purpose of the flash is to increase the depth of field with a group commemorative photo, so I don't feel like replacing it with the F60RM, which is darker than the F60M at the angle of view of a 35mm lens. (60M is 105mm, 60RM is 200mm and guide number is 60. For 35mm, 36 and 30.) Well, it's okay to stop it with permacel tape, but I also printed it. Many thanks for you. ![]() Edited by gigo - 13 January 2022 at 00:11 |

Yes, 3D printer shops will be able to take these .STL files and turn them into the widget itself. Give them the link, where they can read the instructions, and they'll just ask you what color you want it printed in, and they'll quote you a price.

What a brilliant and practical solution to a perennial problem, good job, friend!
I don't know enough about 3d printing: are there shops that can take these .stl files and turn them into the 'widget' itself? Whatever happens, thank you for sharing this fix and solution with us. There's so much poor (physical) UK stuff around that committed tinkerers could improve like this and examples like this are inspiritational. Again, thank you for the idea and sharing the methodology. |

I made something for our aging former flagship flash!
This keeps the Sony Alpha HVL-F60M flash battery door from springing open, as anyone who has used theirs for a long time knows. This also locks the hotshoe lock in place, if your locking button has sprung out as well. The peg keeps both pieces in place. You can print 1 or 2 pegs if you want to lock it from both sides. Prints without supports. peg.stl may need minor cleanup with a knife. You may also tie a string through its needle eye, to avoid losing it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CoifrHX3-qU Download the STLs for free here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4685260 |
