Not for me, though - I'm being left home.

My wife and her best friend will be traveling to Paris in late March, 2023. It is a good opportunity for my wife, as we typically don't have the budget to travel overseas. Her best friend was already planning to go, for a seminar I believe. Her friend has been to Paris before but my wife has not.

My question for you, ladies and gentlemen, is whether you have any off the beaten path* favorite places or sights to recommend? Favorite cafe, favorite small museum?

*off the beaten path: i.e. not part of all the usual, major tourist destinations

My wife and her friend are both artists- her friend is a sculptor and my wife is an oil painter and novelist. They will be going to the Louvre and the Cluny museums, Rodin museum, and some churches. But I know some of you are veteran travelers & might have some fun ideas. May I have your thoughts?

Edit: trip is one week long
