This has made my week, there is a bit of a story behind my photo. My father passed away last year and I passed these trees on the A303 many times on my way to his funeral and to clear his house, thinking they would make a great photo but never stopping as I had too many things going on in my head. I'm glad I finally did.

Looking at your comment above, I am a great believer that, sometimes, there are settings and locations that just make that subconscious connection with you and you just have to go back and revisit them. Glad you did in this instance.

Outstanding POTW, reminiscent to me of a Van Gogh painting.
Thanks for sharing the back story, Simon. Makes it all the more meaningful.

Thank you for including one of mine It is special to me as it is my daughter and favorite dog of all time. And to catch it durring april foolishness was cool as well. I do want to mention monster by Francis. This is one of the better photos I have seen in years. Congrats!
