Not to worry I finally figured it out. Managed to connect via NFC, but not a simple operation.

I know this has been covered before but for the life of me I cannot find the topic in search

I would like to transfer photos form my A77ii to my smart phone and I know the old Play Memories app is no longer available, so is the new Imaging Edge Mobile the correct app to use with my A77ii ?

I have tried to connect the camera to the phone using QR Code, NFC etc but nothing works.

Any help will be apprecited.

Thanks

I believe it should, but since I no longer own α77 II I cannot be absolutely sure...

Although also with other cameras I think it can be fiddly to get the connection between this app and the camera. And regarding NFC: you should not have the Imaging Edge Mobile already running in the front, it seems to work only while your device is showing the home screen. Also might take few tries to get the camera NFC contact point to align with the mobile device NFC reader.

According to Sony the A77m2 is supported.

Wait, you succeeded in connecting, great.
