Any last minute joiners for the 2024 DPE? It's pretty sparse this year ... I hope we can add a few more folks.

Well, we have just defined a new genre of photography, a sub-genre of street photography -- organic photography! -- semi-random observations from around our cities, towns and villages. First uttered here at Dyxum. Over the years, I have discovered that you can find beauty if you just look around.

Nice work with your shots, waldo!

Thanks for posting your shots, @waldo_posth ... a beautiful set of urban landscape/architectural images. Did you have this theme in mind or did it happen organically?

I need to post my originals soon, but I have been under the weather a little bit for the past few days but recovering nicely. I'll try to get to it this weekend.

Happy New Year, all!! And to all of the DPE 2023 participants, thanks for playing!! We'll spin something up again in about 8-9 months

To wrap up my participation in the 2023 DPE I post here the images which I used for the postcards (some have been shown here, others not).

to Art: Oberbaumbruecke, Berlin

to Vincent: Detail from Sanssouci park

to Brian: Facade of an office building

to Roger: Details of the facade of the Berlin Chamber of Commerce

to Steve: Pavilion in the botanical garden of Sanssouci park

to John: The Cube, Berlin

to Dena: A window that can also be used as a color checker!

A happy & healthy new year to everyone!

There is no dificulty in spotting the theme of the cards I sent!

All the post boxes are close to home - Eddington (for Art) is a small village pretty much attached to the small town of Hungerford in West Berkshire.

1. 1859 post box, Easton. Sent to Roger Rex

2. 1861-1870 post box, Hungerford. Sent to MartyMoose

3. 1871-1880 post box, Avington. Sent to KoBra64

4. 1881 post box, Boxford. Sent to Mestari

5. 1882-1901 post box, Eddington. Sent to ADub128

Actually, that theme wasn't on purpose. You mention it, I hadn't thought about it.

Thanks!

Thanks, Harm! I love all of the detail in your images. Besides that grass, the plant life around southern California doesn't look like this. I always say this, but it's so cool to see the world through the eyes of other Dyxum photographers!

I need to post my set of images that I sent along ... my set didn't have a theme like Harm's set of shots.

No, it arrived some time before it made it to the scanner. Sorry to take so long.

No problem Phil, I was just curious

Final card of five received. Came from Maccroft, arriving yesterday from the UK. Still awaiting confirmation that two I sent of the five have been received. Card received in virtually pristine condition.
