I used to have an A7Rii and have upgraded to an A7Siii.
I have a CZ mid range (24-70) lens I have used on both cameras.
When shooting at 24, there were no issues with the hood showing in the corners of the images yet there is with the S.
Anyone know why this occurs with the S but didn't with the R?
Cheers.

I'm guessing on the a7Rii you had lens correction enabled .
Any distortion and vignetting would be corrected .
On your a7Siii I'm guessing this function is switched off .

The lens is the same , the shade is the same , and the physical sensor size is the same .
So the image should be the same .

It's a petal hood , so if you fitted it correctly , there's no hood to appear in the corner of the image .
The vignetting your seeing ,I think you'll find is just the vignetting of the lens .
A lot of modern lenses are designed and built to a price , relying on the camera correcting the flaws .

A sample image would help .

Thanks Neilt, I'll check that out.
I'll also try a few shots at 24 without the hood.
Cheers!

Is it the Sony/Zeiss 24-70/4? (and not the earlier A-mount lens with an adapter)
Do you use the original hood? If not, the hood might be slightly to big. It should mention "sony" and "ALC-SH130"
