Gorgeous, diverse and inspiring set, Neil!

I like the Aliums very much (I think #14 is my favorite among them). #1 and #12 - a unique take! - are my other favorites in this excellent series!

TFS!

Hi everyone,

Slowly, slowly catching up on so much image taking in the last few months that this seems to have been an age ago when I did this. My wife and daughter-in-law had a 'behind the scenes' session at Kew Gardens in July and, as 'the taxi driver' I got to spend a while wandering round, amusing myself taking pictures of things that caught my eye. A hot and sunny day meant 'light travel' (sort of...) so all I took was the a77ii and the Sony 135/1.8 ZA lens to see what I could manage with it (it almost lives on the a77ii at the moment!). I hope you like what I captured:

1. Bark Texture

2. The Palm House

3. Tulip Tree Bloom

4. Alium Head

5. Between Calls

6. Two Sides Of The Iris Cycle

7. Bloom and Seed Head

8. Buding

9. Waymarker

10. The Hive

11. Incoming

12. The Foliage Wall

13. "Me and my Mate"

14. One Amongst Many

I don't really apologise for the number of allium images as they are one of my favourite flowers, but this year was also a very good year for them (at Kew at least!) so I hope you don't mind the indulgence.

Comments most definitely welcomed and thanks for looking.

Best regards, Neil
