That is some achievement.
I said it before and it's truer now: the challenge changed your photographic style. That is, it at least changed the type of photos that you (dare to) publish(ed).

KL is Koninklijke Landmacht (Royal Dutch Army) which is funny as my father was with the Royal Dutch Airforce (Koninklijke Luvhtmacht - KLu) - but he was with the helicopter corps that cooperated closely with the army. 78 refers to 1978.

My father has a set of dinner plates from Frysia, as his girlfriend was from Sloten (the smallest of the Frysian cities) it made sense to share that plate.

At first I misread the plate as a stolen plate - very much of the season!

One year to the day I shared the first picture in this 7x52 challenge: seven pictures every week in 2024. I did not succeed every week, but on average I took seven pictures a week - in total 364 (7x52) pictures, most shared in this thread. On the last day of 2024 I took the last four pictures in this challenge:

lovely series, Addy, it looks like a wonderful place. I'm therefore so sorry that this was not a happy occasion.
sincerest condoleances. to your father and family as well, wishing him all the strenght he needs.

PS? took the liberty to click on the image, press the info button, -since it seemed to be close to Christmas-, and learned the funeral was the day before Christmas? OMG! how shocking, how extra hard.

These days I am a lot in Sloten, Frysia, Netherlands because my fathers partner died a couple of days ago. Sloten is wonderful in summer, but also in winter.
