These are spectacular Fred! And your entry in the beach challenge is a sure winner in my book. If I nitpick, I see two horizons that are not level (2, 6).

+ 1 !! awesome, Fred! wowed!

but you forgot to mention what kind of lights you used?
pricey light sabers? torches?
multi-coloured wands?
THX? ;)
(so much better, more sophisticated than the average steel wool + strainer).
and totally agree; foregone conclusion, the winner has been announced! :)
wet beach works well!

Thanks Paul! I have corrected the tilted horizon's. Probably due to the fact that I was so excited after the shoot that I started processing after my return in the middle of the night .
We'll see with the DPC, but I had a good opportunity to shoot 'something else', however with a bit of luck due to the postponement of the workshop. On the original date it was cancelled due to the weather conditions.
The new date fitted perfectly in the window for this DPC.

Thanks Ine!
The tutor (Mike) had two bags full of several light tubes, mainly home made from TL lighting protection tubes with a flash torch shifted inside at the end (he had a bag full of torches too). The sparkles in #1 and #2 are from small fire works mounted at the end of the tube. His wife was there as a model for us.
It was a great evening.

It looks fantastic Fred.
I can imagine (a bit) what it looks like when it's happening (impressive enough), but the photographic results are stunning.
A worthy workshop

Spectacular images indeed, Fred! Congratulations!

There is always the danger that this kind of images turn out corny - but yours are all very tasteful! The reflection in #6 make it my absolute favorite!

Great images - what I find most perplexing is how he got the symetry to either side of the model.

Thanks all for the kind comments!

@ Phil Wood: The teacher was very experienced, so he knew well what he was doing.
Normally the participants can practice themselves too at the end, but the light circumstances prevented that with a slightly different order/program. I am pretty sure our own first attempts would have given more messy results
