Here is the Lactiporus sulphureus, in Dutch "zwavelzwam" = sulfur fungus, with the English name : sulfur shelf and it is really eye-catching:

This fly amanita, als called fly agaric is reputed to be poisonous and not tasty, but it looks nice:

brettania the difference is quite clear - Macrolepiota is EDIBLE and VERY TASTY

Some macro: ![]() Something edible and VERY VERY tasty, Parasol mushroom ( Macrolepiota procera ): ![]() This one is edible too as I can remember, forgot the name :-/ ![]() tpetpe - you got some nice shots of Porcelain mushroom ( Oudemansiella mucida ), I got some older individuals: ![]() digiton - on your 3rd shot you caught Candlesnuff fungi ( Xylaria hypostolon ) - quite interesting guy, I've got it too: ![]() Edited by Dunadan - 10 November 2008 at 08:04 |

A great viewpoint, but the main interest is very "central". Could also do with a slightly larger image to get more detail.
