Even if you are by nature a solitary photographer, you are likely to get a real buzz out of meeting up with other Dyxum members to take photographs. It is fascinating to see how others tackle photographic subjects and great to actually meet the people you have been conversing with on-line.
This topic is for discussion of possible meetings anywhere in the midwest of the US. Dyxum members are invited to suggest meetings and make preliminary plans in this thread. Once you have settled on a venue and date/dates, PM me or any other admin/moderator about having a specific planned event thread set up (this makes your event more visible to other members!). Keep an eye on regions that are near where you live and, if you are visiting somewhere that has a group, why not drop them a line in their regional thread? An index of all the regional threads, planned meetings and resulting photographs can be found here - Bob Janes Im in Southern Indiana, anyone from this part of the Midwest. I don't know any other Minolta users, around here. I would really like to get together with some others. Edited by Bob Janes - 23 July 2007 at 12:24 |

I'm in the Twin Cities area...possibly willing to drive a a few hours for any good photographic opportunity. It would be best for me if we get into the month of September as we are in the busy season at work, but I do have time off...so anyone else?

Looks like finding a central meeting place might be a challenge. Rick |

St. Louis, Missouri here. There are also two other KM shooters that I work with and we occasionally head out for a photo outing in the area.

By the way, is anyone planning on attending the Detroit Grand Prix in a few of weeks? (I believe it is on September 2nd) It may be a good photo opportunity for those that like auto racing.

Kansas City Metro area here. Let me know! Us 'newbies' need all the help and advice as possible!
I would think with the fall colors coming on...a meeting place should be easy to find this fall. I can see all the tree colors now! It will not be so HOT either! Whewwww. Missouri has many state parks that are nice! :) Edited by Michael USA - 07 August 2007 at 16:44 |
