Even if you are by nature a solitary photographer, you are likely to get a real buzz out of meeting up with other Dyxum members to take photographs. It is fascinating to see how others tackle photographic subjects and great to actually meet the people you have been conversing with on-line.
This topic is for discussion of possible meetings anywhere in the BeNeLux region. Dyxum members are invited to suggest meetings and make preliminary plans in this thread. Once you have settled on a venue and date/dates, PM me or any other admin/moderator about having a specific planned event thread set up (this makes your event more visible to other members!). Keep an eye on regions that are near where you live and, if you are visiting somewhere that has a group, why not drop them a line in their regional thread? An index of all the regional threads, planned meetings and resulting photographs can be found here - Bob Janes |

Hi all, I'd liked to meet up with some of our Belgian and Dutch buddies somewhere in Antwerp or another interesting site in Flanders. Anybody interested ?

Antwerp sounds great, love that city! Always wanted to shoot the docks there (though I can always ride my bicylce to Rotterdam...).
Not too soon though, still saving for my 16-80 Zeiss... |

Hi all,
He's still alive, not dead.....:-) Next week I'm moving from Den helder to Varsenare (4km from Brugge:)))) so Antwerp ,Gent or Brugge is fine to me. Because of the moving, I've a lot to do. So its depending on when you like to meet. Let me know and I'm in. Anne |

Hello,
Antwerp is OK for me, been to Brussel and Brugge recently, so Antwerp could be "the next city" for me. It all depends on the "when". If it fits my agenda, you can count me in. Groeten, Theo |

Seems fair enough interest now, so let's proposed some dates :
will it be somewhere end of october, november or december ? Leave me some feedback, and we'll plan something. Next q : who's familiar in Antwerp to find a location to do a shooting ? We need our local members here ! |

OK, I'm pondering if I can help. I live ~20 km east of Antwerp and if I know far enough in advance I might be able to help coordinate.
What's the custom, saturday or sunday (or weekday). Just some options (looking for other suggestions, this plan would be feasible to walk) 1 Start at the central station (very nice old "cathedral" style) 2 Zoo (right next door) 3 Walk through Keizerlei/Meir (major shopping area) 4 Grote Markt and the little streets and alleys around it 5 Walk along River Schelde 6 Old docks around "het eilandje" 7 Back towards central station along "de leien" How do most people come, especially if it is by train this would work quite well. I am open to other suggestions for an entirely different approach. I'm on Dyxum less than 3 month and have never participated in your meetings, so don't know your customs. |

About my sleeve...
How about this: Having a Dyxum meeting where you can try all the Sony lenses, the A700 and probably also all of the accesoires at a nice location, suited for most kinds of photography, somewhere near Nijmegen at the end of November? During this week I'll get more details, so stay tuned. ;-) |

How about this Grub ? Sounds pretty cool, putting a 600/4 on my 7D In this respect it might be the best to wait for exact date and plae before proceeding with the next benelux meet. Anxiously waiting |
