Cheers, Luis!
Yeah, your advice does work well - even on older JPGs...those herons are "recycled" ones, so to speak.
Got some newer ones still in the camera, will try that on those, too.
I always wondered how you get such clarity and definition -
besides from having incredible timing !
regards,
Bernd

Thanks, Luis, I appreciate that. He (she? it?) is the boldest visitor at my feeder. I was roughly 5 feet away shooting this, and he just kept coming back (giving me an earful the whole time). His reward was all the seed he could eat. Fair trade.

Bernd, I am glad that you found my recipe useful.
Those Grey Herons are looking good, in particular I liked the second one.

Hi all,

LuisV explained some of his workflow - which I had to try immediately.
Does make a difference, I believe, but I can only talk about the Photoshop part of it.

What do you think?
Somehow you can pull more details out of the shots, that high pass filter really is something...
Thanks Luis!

Here's another one : )

Bernd

Really great pictures Klaas. Alk sounds like the danish word too, it seems that dutch and danish have very similar pronounciations.
