Hi all,

as Cameron suggested, I openend a new sunset thread.
My own sunsets remind me of the movie "smoke" with harvey keitel, a guy who takes a shot at the same spot for many years, every day.
So I don't get around much, but I still love those sunsets, and not one is similar to the next...(all from our flat in Vienna, with A700 & CZ16-80, C1 V4)
The last 2 were taken with a thunderstorm approaching, the combination of the setting sun & the thunder clouds was quite something.
regards,
Bernd

Nothing special here, but I just got my 200/2.8 yesterday afternoon and had to give it a try at something :)

Any movie fans out there? What classic film does THIS remind you of?

Aaaargh... I just can't put my finger on it!
A black and white movie, right? Citizen Kane? No, that's not it :( Darn!

Think 2 years older than "Kane", and in glorious Technicolor.

Hmmm... I don't think there were that many movies released in colour that year...
Gone with the wind? :)

Yes. I'm not sure if it strikes others that way, but it was the first thing that I thought of.

Dunno... I didn't think of it because the one clear image I have of "Gone with the wind" is the two of them on the hill, at sunset.
Your pic (very good one, BTW) reminded me of Citizen Kane, I just can't explain why. Bottom line: "objective accomplished", as it does remind one of an old movie :)

it does answer that question "What to do with that panorama " ?

I sold the pic probabaly a year ago but they were having legal problems trying to sell it in other countries
but I see they can now sell it in their home country of Australia.

The picture is a wrap around dust cover on the hard cover. I sold the picture outright .. a 4 pic panorama...
I always wondered what to do with a pano LOL !!
I dont think they will mind me posting their pic since I mentioned the book " The Winds of Tara "
Bob
The book review even looks good !
