Any ideas for a software just for creating frames?
How I will use it: import of tif or jpg files, picking out a frame of a nice collection, export jpg or tif, resizing would be a benefit. Preferable free software product.

Stand alone software or plug-in for elements 6.0.

Thanks a lot.

I picked up Batch Photo Factory just the other day. It's not free I'm afraid (USD$39.95) but after trawling around the net for ages looking for something that was free and user friendly and that could batch frame I got thoroughly over it and bit the bullet.

It can add a variety of editable frames very easily, also watermarks (but not as well or editable as Picture Shark which is free) and can resize, convert format and rename batches of photos.

I also found Frame Master which is free if that's what you really want but I couldn't figure out how to make it create the frame on the outside of the photo and not within the picture itself!

Fast Stone resizer (free) has a good frame tool if you don't want anything too fancy and the batch resizer is great.

This site also has links to other sites. Take a while to look around.

You may want to have a look at Bodermaker, it's freeware (donationware) and allows custom frame design including multiple borders text, watermarks, EXIF info of images, batch processsing....

Bordermaker Home

Example from me, including a watermark (scanned handwriting as transparant png), EXIFs, small black line around image, wide white border.
