Once again this thread has been so enchanting I have totally missed that it is now nearly twice the length that we normally prefer.
Could the next person with fresh material the post please do so in "Show us some bird shots...18" (without the quotes). Thanks. |

Thank you all for the comments.
Nice series Rajneesh, Frankman and Tugas! A few more from the Bald Ibis - Geronticus eremita. It's a very rare bird, about 200 wild birds only. This ones are in their 1st year, the head is going to get more bald next year. I hope they still here by then. |

Thanks Brian.
The Great Crested Tern (the 2nd Bird) wasnt shot while flying (I assume thats what BIF means) It was shot from handheld from a boat. Infact all the shots here and on my website are handheld. Cheers, Rajneesh NatureChronicles |

Remarkable series Rajneesh! The detail on #2 is remarkable for a BIF.
Cheers... Brian |

@ rastapartaman : very nice shots for a bargain lens. Some look a little dark but that's probably my monitor at work (which is also why I cannot see Farnkman's shot, as his host is blocked here).
Only I think you have some dust on your sensor (especially visible in 2, 3 and 4). Hope it isn't being sucked in from your 2nd element when zooming (=pumping ) |

Nice shots from everyone-
Frank, excellent series! That first Honeyeater is fantastic. Rastapartman, good shots, especially because that lens sounds like a bargain - that sparrow is very crisp! regards, Bernd |

@ Frankman -- some of those shots are honeys!
@ rastapartaman -- a good selection. Some are a little less sharp than desirable, but the lens seems to be acquitting itself well. |

I finally got some sunshine on my days off and the opportunity to test a Tamron 200-400 that i got from fleabay.
The lens came with a layer of thin dust on top of the second element and I was afraid that it migth show on the pics. The hood was a DIY pvc pipe. |
