Pieter (Pegelli) was visiting London today - we took a short walk along the Thames in the snow, which made the beers afterwards all the more satisfying!

Two things I can testify to are that the a700 is reasonably weatherproof, and that Pieter is good company :-)

Standing statues

Snowy steps

Wind-blown snow

Hardy fisherman

Hardy Dutchman

Warming up in the pub...

Here I am after midnight and it is 24 degrees C inside and 20 degrees outdoors. Have to admit I have been enjoying viewing London from afar on TV and thinking of you and our other frozen UK members. Call me a sadist.

I like #1 most. Looks very cold, hope you guys didn't go into the pub for a cold beer . Great to see a KM camera in the last one!
Good idea to have a NL-GB meeting.

Smashing series Bob.
Bet the talk about 'Global warming' has ceased in the capitol ? very unusual for London this amount of snow.

Great shots! I am sure there will be more good possibilities tomorrow when the snow turns to ice!

As it happens I was asking Pieter yesterday if he could let me know if any future BeNeLux meetings are within easy reach of an airport or the Brussels Eurostar terminal - hopefully in better weather than we had yesterday though

Smashing series Bob. I will have to get home before I can post.
Have to say Bob is excellent company as well. The amount of interesting information he shared on the area was amazing and his recommendation on beer was also very good.

I'm sitting in St Pancras now, so hopefully will get some of mine up tomorrow or Thursday. anyway many thanks for your hospitality of sharing the London disaster
You can see the April Foolishness 2023 exhibition here Another great show of the talent we have on Dyxum

Very nice shots....

@Bob J: our next meeting will be on March 21 at Dordrecht. If you can get a flight to Rotterdam, you're welcome. Maybe one of us can give you a ride. We Dutchman are not as bad as they say.
And remeber 'the british wave the rules, but the dutch rule the waves'
