My little compact camera has internal memory besides having an SD slot. I really like that idea, of always having storage in your camera. The α700 and α900 have a MS pro duo slot, but couldn't bring myself to get a MS pro duo just for this. I hate proprietary stuff. So I got a MS pro duo adapter that takes a micro SD card (lots of them lying around in our house), and fitted it with a 4 GB SDHC, and behold: it works like a charm in my α700. Micro SDs are cheaper, as well, and the adapter was just over €3 on Ebay.

I did not even knew such adapter was available. Quite interesting for those who need Memory sticks, as MicroSD are indeed significantly cheaper.

Wow i didn't know that they had a adapter for that either!!Thanks for the info! I have a ton of mini sd cards!

My new GPS unit uses the microSD card. That was the first time I'd really looked at one and my first thought was 'Man, I bet people lose a lot of these!' Couldn't believe they were that small and still good for 4 gigs.
