I've been trying for ages to get a decent shot of my cat's cornea, this is the best I've done so far. The luck I had here was she was looking up for a brief moment so bouncing the flash off the ceiling got the lighting the way I needed it. This is cropped to some extent so I've got more room for improvement. On this particular occasion when I started moving in to get the cornea again, from closer up, she moved and the chance was gone.

A shot to which all cat owners aspire. Excellent.

@brian33: great shot, Brian. Congrats again on PTOW honors.

@mandobo: Good control over the DOF. Eyes are in sharp focus at f1.4 (love that lens!)

@Stimon02: Nice profile. You might want to check the raw file to see if there is any more detail that can be recovered from the nose.

Visiting my sister in Denver, here's one of her cat...

This guy poses for me, but he almost always blinks if I use the flash, like I did here. Sometimes I get lucky.

@nm guy1 - that is a very handsome cat! And nicely photographed too.

Did you cheat up the green of the eyes in PP or are they actually that way? Blue cats are my favorite, but I've never owened one.
