More great shots in this thread, as always.

@brandy: I love the woodland selection. Nice shots.
@acinonyx12345: Beautiful detail and color.
@ianb: Lots of ducks there, mate! Great detail by the way.
@Pavel: 4cm isn't huge in this thread. Good BIF.
@TBMike: Faces only a mother could love     

Looks like we could be starting Birds... 28 any time. DONE...

Oliver, good capture and clarity, lovely simple shot.


Water in amongst the trees, gave dappled sunlight which was challenging, but patience showed it to be a perfect setting for the wood duck.

Excellent work, especially given that you are using a 2x TC.

Scrolling through the photos I 'just' knew you were using a Minolta G lens. There is something very nice about the colours and tonality of those lenses that make colourful birds standout.

If I may make a couple of comments, to my eye the cambacica looks over-sharpened. But the feather detail of the papa-moscas-cinzento femea is superb.
