Just some ideas for future assignments:

Portrait
Group shot
Free lensing
B&W
Night shots
Architecture
Art
Panning
Astrophotography
News
Diptych/triptych
Documentary or a little story
Post processing assignments, such as putting a tilted horizon straight, removing dust, removing an unwanted object, and so one till "expert" level.

Just some wild thoughts. I do Hope it may be a start for some new assignments.

If I put it on the wrong place, please move it to the right place, please.

There is a thread for each assignment - index here.

It is an interesting exercise well worth doing. I really must do the last one!

Welcome to Dyxum, Peter!
Posting photos to assignments is just like posting photos in other threads on Dyxum. General instructions are here. I look forward to seeing your entries.

Thanks Blue Eyed Monkey - I'm really enjoying the assignments, some are certainly challenging me to use the camera in ways I hadn't in the past. The M setting is certainly seeing a lot more use!

I wasn't happy with the composition on the first crucifix, I was concnetrating too much on the silhouette and the cloud, not enough on the whole frame - it needs cropping on two sides to make it work - that's against the rules so I had to go back for another go.

I'm currently on holiday in France and find myself wandering around looking for opportunities to fulfill one of the Intermediate Assignments - it's almost a shame to pass one as it narrows the field for the next days activities.

While I await judgement on my Texture shots I shall still be looking for more in case of failure.

And power lines are, of course, of great interest - where would we be without cable joiners?

Phil

Thanks Phil; I hadnít noticed myself!

Well done on the assignments BTW. Some very nice pictures. My particular favourite is the second crucifix, an usual POV makes it more interesting and itís well executed IMO.

I also like the power lines shot but as I am a cable jointer by trade I have to disagree that there isnít a lot of interest in them!
