Went to an open house at the Three Rivers Avian Center here in W. Va. It's a bird of prey rescue/rehabilitation and public education center and also instramental in the release of Peregrine Falcons into the New River Gorge area. I did enjoy myself but as far as picture taking goes it was a disappointment as all the birds on display (residents that can't be released) were in chain link cages and in the shade. But I did get a few keepers.
Link to TRAC
All with the a700 & 70200G.

Perry, a male Peregrine Falcon

Hoolie, a Great Horned Owl who was perched on a refrigerator and the only bird that I didn't have to focus through a fence.

Spirit, a Golden Eagle. Found near death with a broken and infected rear talon that had to be amputated and without the ability to grip survival in the wild was unlikely.

Thanks Brian and Okapi.
Indeed it was very close. When I was about to leave after a regular session with the Heron, the Heron came and arrive just few meters away from me on the river waterside. I guess he already knows me and we are friends, so he is not afraid...

@rovhazman: I only see half of that fish headed for the water in #3 . Nice job with difficult lighting. You must have been quite close to have the first three at 150mm. Well done.

Cheers... Brian

@rmscustom: Thanks, Robert! These crows were apparently used to scavenging off the tourists coming to see the elephant seals at the beach near San Simeon (CA, USA). The sun was a bit too high for these shots, but LR fill light brought back some decent detail. The individual in #1 above seemed small for the American Crows I've seen, but I couldn't find another species with a range that included this location and the bird in #2 looked more like the adults I'm used to seeing in North Carolina.

I took LOTS of shots, but for the most part they look just like these. Perhaps you will settle for a chipping sparrow I caught feeding its young in my back yard.

both with A700+70300G (exif embedded).
