Pavel
That 100% crop has incredible detail and that lens is obviously something very special. Be interesting to compare it to the results from the Sony 500.

Jens
Really like the Golden Eye set - shows lovely behaviour and some very good detail in the pictures.

Rovhozman
Lovely picture - feathers are catching the sun and light very nicely.

I assume the 600 was on a tripod or beanbag?
Do you leave SSS on?

Yes the lens was on a tripod with gimbal head and for that matter I kept the SSS on.
The sharpness is great but I value the bokeh of this lens even more.

I was on a walk yesterday evening to a nearby lake, where I saw these common goldeneye ducks. And they are BTW not so very common in Denmark during the breeding season, but it looks like there are two pairs of them in this lake. Hope they can find nesting places.

Shot with A77 and 70-400G, and are cropped a lot. Would be nice with Pavels 600mm.

They look very aggressive to intruders. Here a female is chased away

The male is trying to impress his female. Unfortunately the white is burned out a little.

Peace and harmony

And finally a white wagtail on a twig. Not cropped much

the frogmouth image is just stunning!- his beauty lies in the fact that proportion was throw out of the window when he was being designed!.

Capo

Nice set - particularly like pics 1 & 4, for different reasons. 4 - sucker for any BIF particularly with this detail and like the setting you have got here. Pic 1 - I really like the effect you achieved with the bird and the vegetation.
