Show us cities of the world is your chance to show us where you live, or where you've been. Please feel free to share pictures from this location, or start a thread for a new location. This is to add to the cities of the world thread. Washington DC attracts a lot of people so here's some pics from a trip I took there.

This might not be exactly what you are looking for... but here are a few I shot from the roof of a friend's house near Cardozo High School. I used an a77 with a Rokinon (aka Samyang) fisheye, triple bracket shots, HDR in PhotomatixPro. ISO is 100, I am not sure of the speed and aperture.

The U.S. Capitol building is just about dead center of this one:


This is about 90 degrees to the right, roughly due west:

Wow great shots, the pond was drained when I went as well and you can see the work on the Washington monument was in the same spot.

Well done all the posters so far. I particularly like the arty black and white shots, as well as the wide angle residential shots.

Last time I was in DC, I had to travel light, and left the Sony at home in favor of a P&S. Number of pictures taken was less than fingers on a hand, as I knew I wouldn't enjoy them as much as my Sony would have let me...
