Not normally a macro photographer but saw these flies feeding on a Euphobia (I think), smells srongly of honey so these guys were all over it.
Not sure what sort of fly this is ? hovver fly ? but the shot was taken on the A7m2 with the SAM 30mm macro & Lea4 - quite pleased with this, handheld, continuous focus, but too far away so a big crop

Settings f11, 1/320th, ISO 400, -0.7ev
C & C welcome
Many thanks

A fine set! Good control of DOF. Especially #7 and #9 are almost text book examples of DOF control for macro. More so #9, which would be my pick of the set.

Visiting family in Belgium and France, I brought along my a65 and trusty Sigma 70 2.8 macro. The odd fly offerings do not disappoint:

1. A female Ectophasia crassipennis visiting holy rope flowers

2. Same model, different angle

3. An Ectophasia crassipennis Romeo for the curve-winged Juliet

4. A male Trichopoda pennipes

5. Stomorhina lunata, a tiny stripe-eyed visitor to the holy rope buffet

6. Sericomyia silentis, a discreet hoverfly that prefers sips of devil's bit

7. Mean mini robberfly machine: a female Tolmerus atricapillus dines on a stable fly

8. The biter done got bit

9. An equally friendly-looking robber boy
