You've got a PM.

By the way, the email address is on page 2 of the book.

Important: The chapter, where the free downlad is mentioned, has the following headline:

"FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO BOUGHT THE PRINTED B&W OR E-READER VERSION"

So this free download might be not available for buyers of the colour printed version (otherwise, a comma is missing).

I probably speak for Gary here when I say, just email him with a copy of your receipt for either of the printed versions & you will receive a free e-version.

Your paying enough for a printed version, an e-version is a 'prerequisite' in these circumstances.

I know I'm not Gary, but I think any concern about wether you'll receive a free e-version is a complete non-issue.

I quote from Gary's posting:

"I should chime in here...Yes, it's true that buying either the B&W or Color printed books also gets you a downloadable .pdf file in full color. (And it's true it should have been mentioned on the product page. I just fixed that.) Just email me your receipt from print-on-demand publisher Lulu.com and I'll email you a download link.

I hope this clears things up, and sorry for the confusion!

-Gary Friedman"

And you will always get a reply from Gary. Sometimes it might take a couple of days if he is on tour, but no email stays unanswered.
Great guy and his ebooks are also worth the money.

Just a side note...

I bought a hard copy of the book, emailed Gary and within minutes had a link to download the e-version. I was surprised how quickly it downloaded. The PDF version works great in my Kindle app on my Android tablet. No lag at all when skimming thru pages...

I also wanted to let eveyone know what a terrific book this is. The book is great at explaining techinal material in laymans terms. I ended up reading the whole thing in a day. It will make a great resource in the days to come...

If your on the fence just buy the book. It's well worth it. Probably my single best investment in my A99!

It's a great book! Already had about a dozen AHA moments! Well spend, love the way Gary actually explains what setting do, unlike a manual that only names a setting.

Just copied the e-book over to my Note 2 and I am also getting excellent results with the bundled Polaris Office 4.0 app.

I had an opportunity to read through the first volume of the printed edition and I must say, Gary Friedman has a knack for taking “nerdy” subject matter and turn it in family reading. I mean every time I start to read a book on any photographic subject , I get bored and confused. But with Friedman’s book, I could easily do 1/3 of the book per evening and UNDERSTAND about 95% . And it was a fun read .
Now, I have gone where no one dares – into the menu ad functions and finally get this baby set up properly.

Thank you Gary! Well done!

It's quite pricy, at least here in the UK - around £64 for Vol 1 and £63 for Vol 2. I went for the e. version - well worth the money.

Wow. That's a lot of money. I can't imagine how much would it cost to buy them from Italy

Did anyone see that he has already updated the book? I haven't re-downloaded it yet to check it out. It's well written.

I didn't see. And I don't see anything about updates to his A99 book. Just wondering where that info is?

Email me with a copy of your receipt and I'll send you the new download link. (And make sure my response doesn't end up in your spam filter! :-) ) Gary at Friedman Archives dot com.
