Yes, I'll second that. I buy lots of books, but rarely new ones. Gary's are one of the few that I know will never disappoint me. I have the A58, the A900, and now the Nex 6 one. There is a lot of commonality (many of the camera functions are similar) but there's enough difference - and practical experience of using the camera in it - to make it still worthwhile buying if the camera is significantly different from the mdoel you have already.
Miranda F & Sensorex, Sony A58, Nex-6, Dynax 4, 5, 60, 500si/600si/700si/800si, various Sony & Minolta lenses, several Tamrons, lots of MF primes and *far* too many old film cameras . . .

The best part was, it never felt like I was reading way too much tech jargon (even as an engineer, I get bored quickly). The vocabulary and writing style was worth every penny. If I needed to learn the NEX-6, I'm getting this book. He even provides the updates for free :D

Here's the best part: It looks like Gary's self-published so I didn't feel bad about a middleman (publisher) selling it for $30 and Gary keeps $0.05 per copy hahaha

As a camera salesman, I do one-on-one training with customers. I frequently quote Gary when training on Sony products, then give people the web address for Gary's books.

Gary's books are worth every penny. Get the pdf version instead of the printed if money is the issue.

Just bought my copy-$26.50 seems fine for one of Gary's books in 3 formats. Do have the NEX-7 one from iBooks (a little cheaper though) too.

+1
Just downloaded the NEX6 ebook to go with Minolta 7D, A100, A700, A850, A77. Gosh I hope my wife doesn't read this!
