Dear Dyxumers,

So it turned out that chess is the most popular board game (8 finalists out of 15 were about chess) and so no wonder that one of those chess photos have won the competition.

Ladies and Gents, I'm pleased to announce mikey2000's "Pure Logic" as the winner of this DPC:

"Pure Logic" by mikey2000

Close behind the above shot was another chess-shot, also taken with VWA lens

"King and his kingdom" by svjetlana

Congratulations to the winner and the HM and thank you all for voting and participation in this DPC ...

Happy shooting,
MiPr

No coincidence that both show the noble game of chess.

A noble game indeed!

I am absolutely chuffed to bits! Thanks to all that voted for my pic and to Dyxum in general for my inspiration.

Perhaps I should choose my words more carefully!   In the UK, there is a comic/magazine called "Viz" known for gutter humour, poor taste and gags concerning bodily functions..   In the Viz context "chuff" has quite a different meaning too.
