And that's an almost religious portrait of me Pieter!

Just a couple of shots for day 3 and after a day wandering in the rain, Bob has switched roles from Indiana to Chuck

The 1st shot was when I just asked him to turn and smile, the 2nd was after he learned about the poster behind him

1. Blurry Chuck

2. Cheesy Chuck

With a wedding imminent, it will probably be at least a week before I carry on with editing and posting any of the rest of the trip
(though I might manage a few comments)

Now I really should start with my pictures..

Wonderful set you all.

Bob.. I misted 24 and 28 of the gnomes.. It looks like you were the better gnomehunter.

@Bob: The first of my May 3 shots
Great series of shots of the statue, and I like the different aspects highlighted by the closeups (I now see cup where the water came from )
And I like your framing of #2 but a little worried that is heart is on the wrong side!

@Bob: Wroclaw churchs
A beautiful bit of light with #11 particularly with the shadow of the arch and I love the rich warm tones you've used
- #15 works really well with the soft details of the church behind, although my rigid brain wanted to see the whole spiral (and I'm pleased to report it's very different from my version)
- #18 and #19 make me smile - why am I not surprised that you found the rubble

@Pieter: rainy day
#1 - great fun shot of Jet and her live view style of using a viewfinder
#4 - needs a bigger puddle, but my favourite of the two versions with less people in the background
and a beautiful series inside the church capturing the splendour, details and colours with #6 particularly excellent
#8 and love the way we can see Bob's eye

@Bob: gnomes
#21 my favourite of a fun little set, but I can't believe there were only 8?

@Domien: morning snack
Beautifully presented and all looking so good.
So two questions:
a) do we know if Bob's photography suffered or improved after the vodka?
b) who eats their cake by carving out a cave?

@Pieter: Gnomes
#11 my favourite, but in general I find them very involving with the way you've got down onto their level for most of the shots

@Pieter: non gnomes
a really excellent set of portraits
and I think #1 might be as close as we came to a shot of the shirts!

Looks delicious Domien, especially Bob's little bite

Fortunately I had my gnoming lens with me (E30/3.5 macro) so I could join Bob in the hunt:

1) Cossack

2) With ball and chain in the slammer

3) Snoring

4) Sitting in the rain

5) Heart

6) A sunflower as umbrella maybe?
