I never thought about diversity, when it came to the members of dyxum. I've learned a lot over the years and I enjoy looking at pictures posted by a wide variety of people from all over the world (though I haven't seen too many Peruvians, which is a shame, since I have questions about the Nasca lines). That being said, I have seen a wide variety of images reflecting different tastes and sensibilities in this site. Nothing quite like the pictures of Zoe Leonard, which elicits multiple emotions at the same time, but I've been inspired by the people here. I miss some of the posters in the past. I am glad to see aarif post images again. Nothing is constant and churn goes on. As long as people respect each other and learn from one another, this will always be a special place to share photographs and experiences.

Probably true but certainly for Mike to decide, as he has. Mike presented in a short time an enormous set of credentials, knowledge, exotic equipment, evidence of training (to include statements in his "resignation"), etc., etc., etc. It seemed like he was way ahead of the Dyxum curve in many respects so it is not surprising that he found this not the place for him.

I have explored other general photographer based websites and two for my other system (Fuji) and this is the best "fit" for me - pleasant, folks with equipment guidance and information well beyond my knowledge, always helpful, insightful comments on my images that have helped me improve over the years, etc., etc. Different strokes for different folks.

I am sorry Mike feels he was mistreated in some way - unfortunate.
