Nice tree pictures Fred and Svjetlana, very different but both "painterly"

Here's details of two trees I saw last weekend

I was struck by the white bark on the roots peeping above the ground

In Dutch "een wit voetje halen" (=literally translated "get a white feet") means desperately trying to please someone to get a favour. I don't know for whom this tree is doing that, maybe the lumberjack? 😉

And this tree had a heart failure before being taken down by the lumberjack 😢

Thanks Svjetlana and Pieter!

Indeed a painterly one from Svjetlaan, and a nice find from Pieter with the white feet.

How about some green feet?

Birches

Zenza Bronica | Portra 160

I feel there is a green cast. If it was a Fuji film, I would think the green cast is because of the film, but Portra usually does not have a green cast. So, I think the green cast is the reflection of the green of the woods as I adjusted the white balance for the white for the trees.

Thganks Svjetlana, it was a special morning and quite dark there. Fortunately I had a tripod with me to capture this tranquil scene.
