Crearly you are experimenting with color, IR, and compositions. While i love the IR for me #3 works the best. The landscape frame, roomy composition with the trucks in a seemingly fight against being forgotten forever. Great work Roger, TFS

MichelvA - Thanks for the comment. I offered the nearly identically composed "regular" and infrared images so folks could make a comparison and to show why I use infrared at times. I use IR when the subject is dark and its flora surroundings are green and of the same tonal range as the subject. In this situation IR provides the necessary contrast to show off the subject better. In this truck/vegetation example the contrast isn't quite as great because the reddish tone of the trucks and the green of the foliage offer sufficient color contrast to separate the trucks.

These last three "magnifying glass" photo's are very nice, normally I'm not a big fan of IR but here it really works.
From the first series I like 2 and 3 the best, in #3 it seems that the rusty trucks are trying to escape from being held by a green multi armed monster. |
