Ahoy!

I am offering UK based Dyxum members the chance to win a FREE website for 12 months with GoDaddy who are a world-leader in Domain Names, Websites and Web Hosting - to bring you savings of up to £59.88 which includes all of the following:

1. A free domain name (.co.uk or .uk, saving you £4.00). If you choose another domain suffix not included in the package, you may have to pay for it.
2. A free email account connected to your domain name.
3. A clever website builder that makes it easy to upload text and images (bye-bye, HTML)!
4. Tools to help you move your existing site across (so you stay online).
5. 1GB of storage (that's more room and flexibility than personal webspace).
6. 150GB bandwidth (so if your site goes viral, it'll stay online).

Terms & Conditions:

To enter, just post your real and Dyxum username below (nothing else). Only ONE entry per person and you have to be a member of Dyxum from before this post was made. Newbies signing up from now on are not eligible to enter the draw.

This free prize draw has been approved by the Dyxum Admin Team and will be monitored by Pieter (pegelli) and he will be making the draw using an online random name selection programme after the closing time/date at 21.00hrs (DST) on Sunday 17th April 2016 at which time the thread will be locked.

After the draw has been made, the winner will be announced by Pieter (pegelli). The winner will receive a PM from me with the GoDaddy activation code which will allow the domain name to be chosen and the site constructed.

I am hopeful that those entering have a real need for this prize such as for a photography based business, but it's open to ALL UK Dyxum members. If you're entering, please post ONLY your real and Dyxum user names, nothing else. This makes it easier to copy/paste names into the random name selection programme and for the winners name to be published.

There is no cash or other alternative. If you win and don't need it, please let me know and another draw can be made. After the free 12 month period, the winner will have to renew it with GoDaddy directly or allow the domain to be closed. The winner must register their domain on the GoDaddy website by 31st July 2016 after which time the redemption code will become invalid.

The winner should go to this page on the GoDaddy website to enter the redemption code, but you can also look at some of the site builder features here.

GoDaddy is listed on TopCashback (TCB), so it might also be worth clicking through (it's free to join TCB).

If there are any questions or queries, please post on the discussion thread here and I or Pieter (pegelli) will assist if we can.

Lastly, good luck, and it would be great if the winner could post a link to their website once constructed and maybe offer some insight about setting it up and offer some feedback.

Ahoy!

I'm very surprised there are no UK Dyxumers putting their names down for this. Not my call, but there's still plenty of time to put your name into the hat.

I have a lot of technical articles I've written over the years, and have been wondering about putting them online.
Most not on Photography, though!

Ahoy!

Any entries posted after this message will be removed. Pieter (pegelli) will be making the draw and announcing the lucky winner. I will PM the winner and provide the code required to get the domain name registered and the website started.

There are only a few entries, so the odds are pretty high, but there can only be one winner. Good luck, and I for one would love to see the finished article.
