There is also Olympus OM 55mm f/1.2 which you could adapt to a-mount.

Hmm. I might need to start saving. I saw Pieter's 35/1.2 on the Nex 6 on the last page and thought, "apart from the character of the bokeh, surely the DOF isn't much different to 50mm/1.4 on full frame".

I think I'd have to go full in for a F number < 1.   Like that crazy 0.95 lens! (And get an E mount FF to stick it on...)

This could take a while...

Maybe there is a shortcut if one can restrict oneself to e-mount (APS-C):
Currently there is an offer on ebay Germany of a SainSonic Kamlan F/1.1 50mm lens for Euro 149 - see here.

BTW: It has 11 circular aperture blades. Should create some nice bokeh!

    Edit: Here is an example.

    35mm f/1.2 on APS-C will give bokeh of ~53mm f/1.8, so you'll get shallower DoF with 50mm f/1.4 on FF. You will also get shallower DoF with a 85mm f/1.4 than a 50mm f/1.2.

If you want even faster lenses then there is voigtlander 50mm f1.1 or mitakon speedmaster which is 50mm f/0.95. The mikaton is huge but voigtlander 50mm is slightly smaller than the 35mm f/1.2

My limited time with a pair of 0.85 prime lenses were so precious. The hand made 25f20.85 and 40f2.5 workd OK for my A6K

While that makes an ~f/1 APS-C lens the combination doesn't even look as fast as the f/1.4 lens looks on full-frame. F/1.8 lenses also become f/1.3 APS-C lens on a focal reducer. This thread should probably stay uncluttered with focal reduced lenses on APS-C unless the original lens was already faster than f/1.4.

There are really no ultra fast lenses for APS-C. There are several f/0.95 options, but those also look slower on APS-C than f/1.4 lenses look on full-frame.
