We finally arrive at our destination after experiencing a very entertaining back route - Monument Valley. After checking in, there was just enough time to get to the room; throw our luggage on the bed and then hot foot it to the area outside to enjoy the sunset. What a magnificent location...

1. Icons

2. Signalling

3. Moons Up

If one looks below the Butte one can see the various vehicles (and sightseeing trucks as mentioned by Coast in his post recently) moving along the early part of the Monument Valley Loop Road.

4. Threesome

5. Right Mitten

6. Left Mitten

7. Sundown

8. Ultra Violet Hour

9. Last Light

10. Always Pays To Look Behind You

Guess where Day 15 will be focused on...?

Thanks for looking and comments always welcomed/encouraged!

Best regards, Neil.

#7 -    I thought I had tired of grand landscape images but #7 stomped out any fatigue I had - the light on the three main monoliths, the road as a wonderful base, the book end dark structures on each edge and the moon placed, compositionally, in a fantastic location for the eye to go across the frame to see it. (Day 15 - along the loop road?)

What an amazing landscape, and so beautifully captured by you.
Love all the photos, especially #7.

Great images - I like #9.
Been too long since I've been there. On my last trip I decided to see what was on the west side of the main highway. Drove past Goudling's (?) trading post towards Train Rock. It's more open just as amazing as the park.

Do we get images of Canyon De Chelly?

Still going and still coming up with great images, Neil? This is a particularly nice set and it is really hard to argue with #4 and #7. Beautiful!

Gorgeous set, Neil! I've never been to Monument Valley, but at least I have been able to see it through your lens! I especially like #s 2, 3 5 and 7. Love the contrast between light, shadows and colors.

Kind regards,

Kelly
