Well, on to our last day in Page and, following the excitement of all the preceding days, we decided to switch off and do something we'd never thought of doing before (and certainly not in the desert) - take a boat ride! Of course, Lake Powell is close to hand and, after much discussion with our B&B host, we settled on a specific tour of the lake which took in some of the more scenic aspects of the lake, yet wasn't an 'all day' thing (we thought we'd go explore further afield later on... As we do.). So. These are taken on a 3 hour 'out and back' cruise and the first posting deals with the often unseen water side of Antelope Canyon. As you can imagine, lots of things to photograph and so this is but a very small selection of the images I took that day at this location:

1. Marina #1

2. The Water Side of the Dam

3. Approaching Antelope

4. Rock Face and Eddy

5. Turning a Corner

6. Carved in a Different Era

7. Ripples

8. Just Missed It

9. Dodge the Kayakers

10. Sense of Scale

11. Once The Start of an Arch?

12. The Narrows

13. The Narrower!

14. And Out

15. Off To The Next One

The boatsmanship of the Captain was truly something to marvel at - not a single touch or scrape the whole time and, as you can see, it is a very narrow passage!

Thanks for taking the time to look and, as always, comments and observations most welcome.

Best regards, Neil.
My Mantra: "Comment on other's work as you would wish to have yours commented upon". Go on - it's fun!
