At an old timer meet last sunday

A Simca 1000 and a Morris Minor traveller

A7ii + Tamron FE 28-200 Di III RXD

I guess the Simca is an import from the Netherlands (despite the Belgian licence plate) given the WW and ANWB decals on the front (both are typical Dutch roadside assistance and tourist organisations)
You can see the April Foolishness 2022 exhibition here Another great show of the talent we have on Dyxum

The top blue one looks to be an extremely rare 59 El Camino. This is just off the top of my head, but so rare I don't think I've ever seen one, and I've gone to a lot of car shows. It actually may be a one of a kind custom 🤷‍♂️

The El Camino was a strange "hybrid". Not a pickup truck and not a regular car. Chevy may be the only one who built these, I don't know, They eventually sold very well in the niche market and had quite a long production run.
Mostly on farms and in the west, not really a city vehicle.

In my opinion the 59 2 door Chevy was maybe its most customizable car. You could almost make it into a rocket. When you look at those era cars and todays Chevy's I ask myself, What has happened to us?

I grew up in the 60's in Detroit, and I don't think I ever saw this particular El Camino. But I did some checking and that is a '59.

There is another hybrid, the Ford Ranchero which came to market two years before the El Camino in 1957.

There was a huge vintage (and not only) cars show on Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, NC last weekend. We could see hundreds of cars from beginning of XX century as well as new Corvettes or Camaros.
Many spectators (including myself) were there so I had some problems with getting enough room to take picture. But regardless of problems I have taken over two hundred pics. I didn't see all vehicles because I would need at least one or two more visits to do it.
Well, I got what I got and I want to share a several pics with you.

Impressive series Jack
I love the 2-3 shot impressions of the same car.
It gives a good view of the construction.
Particularly like 11 and 12

According to last weekend Auto Fair I am asking my Dyxum friends for help.
Below are two cars from this show I forgot to check what make they are.
So perhaps somebody can help me recognizing them. I thank you in advance.

This second one can be European car as it was parked next to 1937 Fiat 500 but I can be wrong.

The first looks like a 1950 Ford with a continental kit and the tail lights cleaned up a little bit.

The Ghostbusters vehicle looks more like an 83 or 84 Cadillac based on the additional lights in the bumper.
To see is to enjoy. To see beyond is to rejoice.
