There are many different designs of wind vanes and weather cocks: some showing (as the name suggests) cocks, for example

#1: on the tower of the protestant Church of St.Moritz

Sony Alfa 580, Tamron 28-200mm at 200mm, f/8, 1/2000s, ISO400

#2: on trhe tower of the English Church in St.Moritz

Sony Alfa 580, Tamron 28-200mm at 200mm, f/8, 1/1250s, ISO200

Many others show completely other designs, for example

#1: an appropriate design on the Schulhaus = School House in St.Moritz

Sony Alfa 580, Tamron 28-200mm at 200mm, f/8, 1/1600s, ISO400

#2: with the flag of the country (at least with a white instead of a blue sky )

Sony Alfa 580, Sony 70-300mmG at 300mm, f/11, 1/1500s, ISO400

#3: for a curling player: with a rock with handle as used in that sport:

Sony Alfa 580, Tamron 28-200mm at 200mm, f/8, 1/1250s, ISO400

And I hope many others are going to follow

Trying again after not getting any response or additions:
This is not weather cock, but these are weather swans:

You look lonely here, Paulg. I'll join in. This is the weathervane on the new Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum facility due to open in the next few months. The original museum burned down several years ago and they've finally built a brand new one. (In Boston, of course).
